Higher Education in the Lowcountry

As the Lowcountry’s only Christian University, Charleston Southern also welcomes students from across the country and around the world. The university eagerly envisions being nationally recognized for integrating faith in learning, leading, and serving.

To achieve the university’s vision for national awareness, CSU collaborated with 5° Branding to create and launch a comprehensive new brand identity. The process began with multiple site visits by the 5° team to lead a branding workshop, gather essential stakeholder input, and establish campaign messaging. The creative development process brought to life Charleston Southern’s distinct brand with the messaging theme Your Purpose. Our Mission.

“5° knocked our branding and website project out of the park! We are already reaping the benefits of our hard work together. Students, both prospective and current, love the new look and comment about how easy it is to find what they are looking for. Alumni take greater pride in their alma mater. Faculty and staff are excited about what we are marketing to the public, and the public has NOTICED!

From our initial meeting until the last phone call (and even after that), 5° displayed unparalleled expertise, judgment, creativity, and substance in their approach to our plan. I have worked through branding and website reconstruction projects before and was blown away by their attention to detail. They certainly exceeded my expectations! They were inclusive of our research and ideas, and married their own experience in Christian higher ed to present a final product that fulfilled and surpassed our dreams.”
